Our Mission

Our mission is to ease the minds of pet owners, ensuring that their dogs will be well taken care of while they are away on vacation or just at work for a few hours. We treat your dogs as if they were our own.

I am a retired teacher from Putnam County. I decided to carry over my love of children to the love of dogs. I opened Almost Home in July of 2023. I try to give your dogs the same attention I would have given my students.

Daycare -
Drop In - Monday - Sunday 7:00-6:30
Daycare Prices $25 a full day up to 12 hours
or $4 an hour plus tax.
25% off the 2nd and 3rd dogs.

Boarding-
Monday - Sunday
Drop off 6:45 AM-6:30PM
Pick up 6:45AM-6:30PM

We now offer baths and basic grooming.
Does your dog need a bath but you just don't have a place to do it at home?
Prices start at $15 through $25 depending on the size of the dog and length of fur for bathing.

If your dog needs to be fed while at daycare we can feed your dog. Please bring the food in individual baggies.

Weather permitting outdoor playtime

We offer overnight boarding in 5 separate rooms. Dogs will be separated depending on your dog's needs. We do have a few dog kennels if you wish to crate your dog at night or you can bring your own. These are large enough to easily fit a German Shepherd.
$40 a night plus tax.
25% off 2nd and 3rd dog.

We offer chairs, sofas, and dog beds for your dog to sleep on.

Our Almost Home has a basement in which to shelter in during inclement weather.

Toys
We would rather you not send your dog's favorite toy. We have plenty of toys for the dogs to share.
If you are boarding your dog overnight and they need a special something we will try to accommodate the need.

ALL DOGS MUST BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED BY 1 1/2 YEARS OLD.

Extras

Face to Face Time
While on vacation we can schedule a Facebook video call with your dog. The first one is free, after that $5.

Playtime
We will be outside with your dog as much as possible.
We have a huge outside area for your dog to play.
When weather is rainy we can still go outside under our breezeway.
